No extra tools to install. Turn on Game assist in a game’s page and change the game’s speed while you play; RPG Maker games can also change money, items, variables and switches, turn off encounters or walk through walls.
For single-player games only: games with anti-cheat software and games Steam starts don’t get it. Changed values go into your saves, and ExeDock backs up your saves before each start.
Switch between 1, 1.5, 2, 3 and 4× at any time while you play, to level up or skip repeated walks faster. Speed works even on engines ExeDock can’t read directly.
In Values and items…, RPG Maker games list their variables, switches and items by the names their creators gave them; search and change them directly.
Turn off encounters in a dungeon, walk through walls when you’re stuck, and fill the party’s HP/MP with one click.
Changed values are kept in your saves. ExeDock backs up your saves before each start, and you can restore them from the game’s page.
ExeDock runs its own component beside the game; the game folder is never changed. Turn Game assist off to play as before.
Off by default and only active in games where you turn it on; games with anti-cheat software don’t show the switch.
Speed, money, heal party, variables, switches, items, no encounters, walk through walls. The game’s data must be unpacked (js and data folders visible).
The same in native RPG Maker mode; in Wine mode only speed, and the card offers a Use native RPG Maker button.
Hold F or G to fast-forward; press F9 for the debug menu (variables, switches, items, money); hold Ctrl to walk through walls.
Game speed. Sound doesn’t speed up, so games that keep time by their sound may not change.
Find the Game assist card in the game’s page and switch it on. The card says what this game can use.
Click Start game. Once it runs, the Game assist panel appears under the Playing card.
Pick a factor in Game speed. Once you start or load a game (past the title screen), change money, click Heal party or open Values and items….
To change money and values, ExeDock has to reach the game’s own code: today that is unpacked RPG Maker MV/MZ, and XP/VX/VX Ace running in native RPG Maker mode. Other games get speed only.
Yes, once you save they are in your save. ExeDock backs up your saves before each start; restore a backup from the game’s page to go back.
No. Games with anti-cheat software don’t offer Game assist, and neither do games Steam starts.
No, sound plays at its normal pace. A few games that keep time by their sound may not change speed.
No memory scanning and nothing else to install: ExeDock changes values through RPG Maker’s own data and lists them by their names in the game. Other engines get speed for now.
Essentials keeps money outside RPG Maker’s usual place, so changing money has no effect; variables, switches and speed work.
No. If anonymous play data is on, it only notes that Game assist was on for that session, never what you changed or to what.
